Hey Everyone, I'm a lil behind this month on posting this set from the Humane Society. I can say, each time has been very rewarding. I am blessed to be around such precious animals. I willalso say, I wasn't to pleased with how most of them turned out. Found out later that night I had came down with a stomach bug. So probably wasn't feeling all to well and my shooting was off. It's not always going to be perfect, but its still worth it helping out these animals. I have a few shots of some precious kittens playing and a couple black & whites of a dog named Wally & his long floppy tongue. He was very funny photograph character wise. Hope you enjoy as much as I do, Lil Bird Musings

Best of luck, Lil Bird Photography! A few weeks ago, I was in Lexington KY for a shoot. I had a little down time to blow before venturing up to Cincinnati OH. So I went and browsed a local Farmer's Market. It was amazing to stop and relax and just shoot something different. I really wanted to capture the enviroment and colors. I focused a lot on capturing the details, and how the "life" was viewed through some of the dogs that were brought out to enjoy this beautiful day. I really enjoyed just having some down time and loved that I didn't have to plan it. Just went with the flow and caught what captured my attention. Hope you enjoy! Thank you, Lil Bird About a month ago, I was wanting to do something that was therapeutic but also helped out others. I love going to my local Humane Socitey and loving the animals up. The last time I was there, I had thought about volunteering my photography services. So I had contacted them and discussed about the process. I finally found a date to come in and talk with the lady in charge and we set a date for me to come in. Of course it was one of their busiest days but I wouldn't have changed it!. My boyfriend had came to help out and we went through each cage of the cats and looked to see which one had photos and didnt. Below are my favorite shots of the day. I don't know if any of them have been adopted but the photos were put on PetFinder to help them be adopted. I plan on doing it at least once a month. Stay tune for more! I was offered the special chance to photograph a dear friend of mine most dearest moment...
Nursing.. It was a blessing to be a part of this special time. To capture the comfort & joy of both mother and child. I loved bringing out the mother's tattoos and help it illustrate the mood of the shoot. Hope & Life <3 Was a pleasure and will always be forever grateful! |
